1. Hartshorn Pond Dam: Located off Mont Vernon Road, this is one of the most popular picnic stops in Milford, enhanced by ample parking, granite picnic tables, benches, grassy area and handicapped accessible.  [back to map]

2. Bicentennial Park: Located off South Street adjacent to the railroad tracks, there are several park benches and well tended grassy areas. The park abuts Railroad pond and is handicapped accessible.  [back to map]

3. Emerson Park: Located adjacent to the Milford Post Office, there are park benches, a table and a sand pit for children. Right downtown, it is a popular lunch time area. The park is handicapped accessible via the Masonic Temple parking area off Mont Vernon Street. Abuts the Souhegan River and provides excellent views of the granite bridge over the river.  [back to map]

4. Hazel Adams Burns Memorial Park: Overlooking Osgood Pond at the dam on Osgood Road, this site has been landscaped with grass, Crabapple trees, hardy rose bushes, park benches and a gravel parking area. It is an excellent spot to view wildlife while picnicking or fishing. The foundation of an old ice house is also visible.  [back to map]

5. Hitchiner Town Forest: Located at the end of Mullen Road, off Osgood Road, this 208 acre area provides picnic areas in open fields, in pine groves, and atop Burns Hill. At the farthest end of the property, there is a small stream beside which to picnic. [back to map]

6. Tucker Brook Falls: Located on Tucker Brook, in the Tucker Brook Town Forest, this area is accessible from a right-of-way off Whitten Road or by a well marked trail off of Savage Road. The walk to the falls is well worth it. The 258 acres of town forest land surrounding the falls provides a variety of picnic sites. [back to map]

7. Look Out Point: Located on the Mayflower Hill Town Forest, this site is accessible by trails from both Shady Lane and Falconer Avenue Extension. The Point provides excellent views over Milford. A trail system and an old granite quarry add to the appeal of this very popular spot. [back to map]

8. Keyes Memorial Park: This 19 acre park is located off Elm Street within walking distance of the Oval. With its open fields, tree lined river banks and children's playground Keyes makes for a delightful picnic spot. [back to map]
